Can I have more water pressure?
Yes, there are several differnet types of upgrades that can be made to most wells. We also may be able to adjust your current equipment.
Can I shock my own well?
If my well tests positive for bacteria, is that cause for alarm?
Depending on the level and type of bacteria, you don't have to hit the panic button. Most coliform bacteria are not harmful. However, some can make you sick. There are a some bacteria that you should be concerned about, like E.Coli and fecal coliform.
What harmful bacteria could show up on my water test?
The most likely harmful bacteria that could show up on your water test is E. Coli. If E. Coli shows up in a water test we can treat and inspect your well.
Could there be bacteria in my well?
Yes there could be bacteria in your well, if it is unsealed and not up to current code. However, it is more unlikely in newer wells that met current code. Modern well construction is much less likely to be contaminated with bacteria than older large diameter wells. Water testing should be done if there is a concern. If bacteria is present, your well should be treated and inspected.
Can a well that has tested positive for bacteria be treated?
Yes, we can treat the well. However we need to determine that your well does not have a continuous source of contamination, like a broken well cap or an unsealed well.
